still و anymore

در این مقاله به بررسی کاربرد still ، anymore ، either ، neither در زبان انگلیسی میپردازیم اول از همه still و anymore را بررسی می کنیم :

کاربرد anymore , still : (هنوز – حتی) نشان دهنده عملی است که از قبل شروع و تا حالا ادامه دارد. still در جملات مثبت معمولا قبل از فعل اصلی به کار می رود.

He is still working in that office.

او هنوز در آن اداره کار می کند.

They still live in that house.

آنها هنوز در آن خانه زندگی می کنند.

anymore (دیگر) در مواردی کاربرد دارد که برای انجام کار برای مدتی در گذشته ادامه داشته و اکنون قطع گردیده است. anymore معمولا در آخر جملات منفی به کار می رود.

He isn’t working in that office anymore.

او دیگر در آن اداره کار نمی کند.

They don’t live in that house anymore.

آنها دیگر در آن خانه زندگی نمی کنند.

either و neither در انگلیسی

either و neither

کاربرد either و neither : برای اجتناب از تکرار در دو جمله منفی که موقعیت مشابهی دارند از either و neither استفاده می کنیم.

He doesn’t sing and she doesn’t sing.

او آواز نمی خواند و او آواز نمی خواند.

He doesn’t sing and she doesn’t either.

He doesn’t sing and neither does she

او آواز نمی خواند و او هم همینطور.

I didn’t go to Boston and Hal didn’t go to Boston.

من به بوستون نرفتم و هال به بوستون نرفت.

من به بوستون نرفتم و هال هم همینطور.

I didn’t go to Boston and Hal didn’t either.

I didn’t go to Boston and neither did Hal.
